Thompson uses decades of experience, and a diverse musical palette to create music that is both inspiring, and marketable. His wide musical range is supported by his ability to play several different instruments. He is accomplished on saxophone, piano, organ, and various keyboards. Archie also plays bass, guitar, drums, and is a qualified arranger, with a three-piece horn section available for hire. He operates his own state-of-the-art recording studio.
